形态特征（Description）：多年生铺散匍匐草本，全体被短柔毛。茎纤细，多分枝，节上生根，茎皮薄，老后易于破损剥落。叶2型；主茎上的叶对生，叶柄短，长2-5毫米或有时近于无柄或柄长至10毫米，叶片圆形，心形至肾形，长8-20毫米，顶端钝或渐尖，基部截形，微心形或宽楔形，边缘共有锯齿5-9对，叶脉不明显；分枝上的叶簇生，稠密，针形，长3-5毫米，有时枝顶端的叶稍扩大为条状披针形。花单生叶腋，近于无梗；花萼裂片5近于相等，三角状狭披针形，长3-5毫米；花冠白色至玫瑰色，辐射对称，长约6毫米，花冠裂片5，圆形至矩圆形，近于相等，大而开展，有时上有透明小点；雄蕊4，内藏；花柱长约1毫米，柱头小，不增大，钻状或2叉裂。果实卵球形，红色，长5-6毫米，可达10毫米，近于肉质，有光泽；种子卵形，长不及1毫米，浅棕黄色，光滑。花期4-6月，果期6-8月。
分布（Distribution）：广布于云南、西藏、四川、贵州、湖北、陕西、甘肃及台湾，生于海拔3000-4000米的高山草地或石缝中。尼泊尔，印度，菲律宾也有。

Corolla white or rose, ca. 6 mm; tube short campanulate; lobes 5, orbicular to oblong, subequal, sometimes transparently punctate. Filaments filiform, adnate to corolla tube; anther locules apically confluent. Style ca. 1 mm. Capsule red, ovoid to globose, berrylike, fleshy, shiny, 5-6(-10) mm.
