形态特征（Description）：矮小灌木，高0.6-1.2米，多分枝；枝短，幼时红褐色或褐色，无毛，顶端常被淡白色粉，老时棕褐色或褐色。叶小，对生或近于对生，常密集簇生于枝顶，纸质或近革质，倒卵形或卵形或椭圆形，长0.8-2.3厘米，宽0.4-1.2厘米，先端钝形或急尖，具尖头，基部楔形或钝形，边缘反卷，上面深绿色，干燥后棕褐色或茶褐色，下面干燥后灰绿色或灰褐色，两面无毛，通常具白粉，中脉在上面凹下，下面隆起，侧脉不明显；叶柄长1-2毫米。花橙黄色，芳香，2-5朵簇生于枝顶或部分腋生，无毛；叶状苞片长卵形或卵状披针形，长2-5毫米，宽1-1.5毫米，顶端渐尖，上面淡白色，无毛，有时微具白色柔毛；花梗短，长约1毫米；花萼筒漏斗状圆筒形，长8-11毫米，外面无毛，裂片4，大小不一，宽卵形或卵状椭圆形，长2.5-4毫米，宽2-3毫米，顶端钝形；雄蕊8，2轮，下轮着生于花萼筒的中部，上轮着生于花萼筒的喉部稍下面，花药顶端与裂片基部接触，长圆形，花丝短，长约1毫米；花盘通常一侧发达，近方形，长1.2毫米，常深裂为2鳞片状；子房无毛，长卵状椭圆形，长2-3毫米，花柱长0.7毫米，柱头头状。果实球形。花期5-6月，果期8月。

Inflorescences terminal, often on reduced lateral shoots, 2-5-flowered, glabrous; bracts leaflike, ovate or ovate-lanceolate, 2-5 × 1-1.5 mm, glabrous or sometimes pubescent, apex acuminate. Flowers fragrant; pedicel short, ca. 1 mm. Calyx deep yellow to orange; tube funnelform-cylindric, 8-11 mm, exterior glabrous; lobes 4, broadly ovate or ovate-elliptic, 2.5-4(-5) × 2-3 mm, apex obtuse or rounded.
