形态特征（Description）：木质藤本。小枝圆柱形或有显著纵棱，嫩时被短柔毛，以后脱落无毛。卷须总状5-10分枝，相隔2节间断与叶对生，卷须顶端嫩时膨大呈块状，后遇附着物扩大成吸盘。叶为掌状5小叶，小叶倒卵长椭圆形或倒卵披针形，长2-12厘米，宽1-5厘米，最宽处在近中部或中部以上，顶端急尖或渐尖，基部楔形，边缘上半部有5-12个锯齿，上面深绿色，无毛，显著呈泡状隆起，下面浅绿色，在脉上被短柔毛；侧脉4-9对，网脉上面不明显，下面微突起；叶柄长2-6厘米，被短柔毛，小叶有短柄或几无柄。多歧聚伞花序圆锥状，长6-15厘米，中轴明显，假顶生，花序中常有退化小叶；花序梗长0.5-4厘米，被短柔毛；花梗长2-3毫米，无毛；花蕾椭圆形或微呈倒卵椭圆形，高2-3毫米，顶端圆形；萼碟形，边缘全缘，无毛；花瓣5，椭圆形，高1.6-2.6毫米，无毛；雄蕊5，花丝长1.4-2.4毫米，无毛；雄蕊5，花丝长1.4-2.4毫米，下部略宽，花药长椭圆形，长1.6-2.6毫米；花盘不明显；子房近球形，花柱明显，基部略粗，柱头不明显扩大。果实球形，直径0.6-0.8厘米，有种子1-4颗；种子倒卵形，顶端圆形，基部急尖成短喙，种脐在背面不明显，种脊呈沟状从近中部达种子上部1/3处，腹部中棱脊突出，两侧洼穴呈沟状，向上斜展达种子顶端。花期7-8月，果期9-11月。
分布（Distribution）：产河南、安徽、江西、江苏、浙江、湖北、湖南、福建、广东、广西，生海拔140-1100米山谷林中或山坡灌丛，攀援树上或崖石壁上。

Branchlets terete or with conspicuous longitudinal ridges, pubescent when young, later glabrescent; tendrils 5-10-branched, with young apex expanded as tubercles. Leaves palmately 5-foliolate; petiole 2-6 cm, pubescent; leaflets with short petiole or nearly sessile, obovate-elliptic or obovate-lanceolate, 2-12 × 1-5 cm, abaxially pubescent on veins, adaxially conspicuously bullate, lateral veins 4-9 pairs, veinlets slightly raised abaxially, inconspicuous adaxially, base cuneate, margin 5-12-toothed, apex acute or acuminate. Paniculate polychasium pseudoterminal, 6-15 cm, usually with obvious rachis and degenerative leaflets; peduncle 0.5-4 cm, pubescent. Pedicel 2-3 mm, glabrous. Buds elliptic or slightly obovoid-elliptic, 2-3 mm, apex rounded. Calyx entire. Petals elliptic, 1.6-2.6 mm, glabrous. Filaments 1.4-2.4 mm, base slightly broad; anthers elliptic, 1.6-2.6 mm.
