形态特征（Description）：多年生肉质草本，无毛，丛生，具根状茎。茎直立，粗状，不分枝，高2-13厘米，粗5-10毫米，节很密集，带绿色，干时变棕褐色，叶聚生茎顶端，茎上部密生鳞片状的托叶，叶痕大，半圆形。叶片肉质，干时变纸质，近圆形或圆卵形，长2.5-9厘米，宽2-8厘米，盾状着生于叶柄，先端钝形或圆形，基部圆形或微缺，边缘全缘或浅波状，上面绿色，下面灰绿色，干时呈细蜂案状，钟乳体细杆状，长0.1-0.2毫米，在上面较明显，基出脉3条，弧曲，在近顶端彼此网结，外向侧脉数对在近边缘处彼此结成网，其中最下面2-3对几乎从叶柄顶端伸出，连同基出脉构成放射状的脉纹，侧脉不明显；叶柄长2-17厘米；托叶鳞片状，淡绿色，干时变棕褐色，三角状卵形，长约7毫米，先端短尾状渐尖，密布条形钟乳体。雌雄异株；花序单个生于顶端叶腋，聚伞圆锥状，长10-28厘米，花序梗粗壮，长5-14厘米，花疏松地排列于曲折生长的花枝上；苞片小，披针形，长约0.5毫米。雄花具梗，带紫红色，在芽时倒卵形，长约2.5毫米；花被片4，倒卵形，外面近先端有短角；雄蕊4；退化雌蕊很小，长圆形。雌花近无梗；花被片3，不等大，中间一枚近船形，果时长不及果的一半，侧生的二枚狭三角形，比中间一枚短近2倍。瘦果卵形，稍扁，歪斜，长约0.8毫米，表面有紫红色细疣状突起。花期4-7月，果期7-9月。
