形态特征（Description）：多年生草本，植株高20-60厘米。根状茎粗短，木质化，暗棕褐色。二回三出复叶基生和茎生，具9枚小叶；基生叶1-3枚丛生，具长柄，茎生叶2枚，对生；小叶纸质或厚纸质，卵形或阔卵形，长3-7厘米，宽2.5-6厘米，先端急尖或短渐尖，基部深心形，顶生小叶基部裂片圆形，近等大，侧生小叶基部裂片稍偏斜，急尖或圆形，上面常有光泽，网脉显著，背面苍白色，光滑或疏生少数柔毛，基出7脉，叶缘具刺齿；花茎具2枚对生叶，圆锥花序长1 0-35厘米，具20-50朵花，序轴及花梗被腺毛；花梗长5-20毫米；花白色或淡黄色；萼片2轮，外萼片卵状三角形，暗绿色，长1-3毫米，内萼片披针形，白色或淡黄色，长约10毫米，宽约4毫米；花瓣远较内萼片短，距呈圆锥状，长仅2-3毫米，瓣片很小；雄蕊长3-4毫米，伸出，花药长约2毫米，瓣裂。蒴果长约1厘米，宿存花柱喙状，长2-3毫米。花期5-6月，果期6-8月。
分布（Distribution）：产陕西、甘肃、山西、河南、青海、湖北、四川等地，生于海拔650-3500米的林下、灌丛中或阴湿处。
用途（Use）：全草供药用。主治阳萎早泄，腰酸腿痛，四肢麻木，半身不遂，神经衰弱，健忘，耳鸣，目眩等症。

Herbs, 20-60 cm tall. Rhizome short, clumped, 3-5 mm in diam. Leaves basal and cauline, usually biternate, 9-foliolate, rarely 5-foliolate; leaflets abaxially glaucous, adaxially usually shiny, ovate or broadly ovate, 1.5-7.5 × 1-6 cm, papery or thickly so, abaxially glabrous or scarcely pubescent, adaxially with conspicuous reticulate veins, base deeply cordate, terminal leaflet with equal rounded lobes, lateral leaflets slightly oblique with outer lobes large and acute or rounded, inner lobe smaller and rounded, margin spinose-serrate, apex rounded or acute to acuminate. Flowering stem with 2 opposite usually biternate leaves. Panicle 10-35 cm, loosely 20-50-flowered; rachis and pedicel glandular. Pedicel 5-20 mm. Flowers white or pale yellow, ca. 1.5 cm in diam. Outer sepals dark green, ovate-triangular, 1-3 mm; inner sepals white or pale yellow, lanceolate, ca. 10 × 4 mm. Petals much shorter than inner sepals, with slight lamina and blunt spurs; spur narrow, conical, 2-3 mm. Stamens exserted, 3-4 mm; anthers ca. 2 mm, valved. Capsules ca. 1 cm; style 2-3 mm, rostrate. Fl. May-Jun, fr. Jun-Aug.
